postural training/ ergonomics

Whether recovering from a recent fall, or just taking extra measures to prevent falls, we can assist you in identifying factors that may be contributing to impaired balance and work with you to address those factors.

The same applies when balance is affected by neurological conditions/injuries (such as Parkinson's, or following a stroke), or in post-operative care, especially with procedures involving the lower extremities.

balance training/ fall prevention

Efficient posture and appropriate set up in a work area greatly reduces fatigue and discomfort that can negatively affect productivity.

We will assist you in identifying factors at work (and play!) that may be causing you discomfort and provide solutions that can minimize the effect these factors may have on your body.

The goal is to prevent unnecessary pain and injuries.

what some of our patients are saying...

Five months ago I had surgery for a 360 degree labral tear.  As Martin would describe it, I was one in a million... but not in the good way hahaha!  He had to develop a plan to get my arm back in action. Most people tear the front or side but not me, oh no, I tore it nearly off.
As I am typing this, I have 90% mobility back in my arm which should be a 9 month process.  I have been to the office twice a week as well as seeing Siri Smith for chiropractic work. She is a doctor and as a person.  The duo, Martin and Siri have provided the best service I could ever have asked for in recovery.  They made each visit fun if you can imagine and lifted me up when i needed it.  I strongly encourage anyone who needs physical therapy or chiropractic work to look no further.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I am so happy that my doctor recommended me to this gem in midtown. I am forever grateful!!

Highly recommend the team at Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy!  I had been to three different doctors, all of whom were recommending surgery.  The team at Midtown Integrative Physical Therapy is amazing because they are connected with the doctor at the practice.  For the first time, there was a linkage between my care team.  By working with PT, active release therapy, and my spine doctor together, my back improved tremendously and I don't need surgery!  Highly recommend!
